Durante a passagem do fura\u00e7\u00e3o Irene na costa leste dos Estados Unidos, os meteorologistas do aeroporto JFK<\/a> em New York City<\/a> tiveram que evacuar o aeroporto, assim como todo o resto do povo que trabalha a\u00ed. Desde a evacua\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 o retorno deles, a esta\u00e7\u00e3o ficou emitindo METARs<\/a> autom\u00e1ticos a cada poucos minutos, tamanha era a varia\u00e7\u00e3o das condi\u00e7\u00f5es observadas pela esta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Os picos dos ventos est\u00e3o destacados em negrito. A unidade de velocidade na avia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 n\u00f3s (kt), que \u00e9 1,852 km\/h.<\/p>\n
